Soldiers returning from leave amidst their bags, in a train station. Two of them are sitting on the ground, leaning on a wall, dozing, while another one is sprawled out.

The unique state was printed at 15 proofs on japon mince (1 to 15) and 60 on hollande (16 to 75) by Delâtre for Boutitie.
The alternative title Repos en gare de Nevers recalls that during the war, Brouet had been posted to Le Creusot, which was reached by transiting through Nevers.
